Sweep

Privacy Policy

Effective August 25, 2026

The short version: Sweep has no accounts and no servers. It shows no ads, contains no analytics or tracking software of any kind, and we never receive, sell or share your information. Your games and settings stay on your iPhone. The only thing that leaves your device is a small amount of progress — your daily streak and your best times — which syncs through your own iCloud account so it follows you between your devices. We cannot see it.

Who we are

Sweep (the “App”) is a Minesweeper game for iPhone. This policy explains how the App handles your information. It is short because Sweep collects almost nothing: we run no servers, so there is no place for your data to go.

What we collect

Nothing. We operate no servers and the App makes no network requests of its own, so no information about you ever reaches us. There is no account to create, no sign-up, no email address and no profile.

What stays on your device

Everything you do in Sweep is stored locally on your iPhone:

Your game history and statistics — wins, losses, times, hints and flags used.
Your Daily Challenge results and streak.
Your settings — board theme, input style, timer, haptics and accessibility preferences.
Your progress — coins earned, unlocked themes, Journey levels and Learn lessons.
A single saved game in progress, so you can continue where you left off.

This information never leaves your device except as described under iCloud below, and deleting the App removes all of it.

iCloud

So your progress survives a new iPhone, Sweep stores a small amount of data in Apple's iCloud key-value storage: your daily-streak count, the date you last solved a daily board, and your best time for each difficulty. That is the complete list — no game history, no settings, no identifiers.

This uses your iCloud account. The data is held by Apple under Apple's privacy policy and is not accessible to us at any point. If you would rather it did not sync, turn off iCloud Drive for Sweep in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud; the App keeps working normally and simply stops syncing.

Game Center

Sweep offers optional Game Center leaderboards for daily and per-difficulty best times. If you are signed in to Game Center, the App submits only your completion time for a board you have just won. If you decline Apple's Game Center sign-in, nothing is ever submitted and the rest of the App is unaffected. Game Center accounts, nicknames and leaderboard data are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy — we never receive them.

Purchases

Sweep Pro is a single one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Your purchase is verified on your device; no receipt is sent anywhere and we never see your payment details, billing address or Apple Account. Restoring a purchase asks Apple, not us.

Notifications

The optional daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. It is off until you turn it on, involves no server and no push service, and contains no personal information. Turn it off at any time in the App's Settings or in iOS Settings.

Advertising, analytics and third-party software

None. Sweep contains no advertising, no analytics or telemetry, no crash reporting service, no attribution or measurement software, and no third-party software development kits whatsoever. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not track you across apps or websites, and there is no data broker relationship of any kind. Should this ever change, we will update this policy and the App's App Store privacy information before any such feature ships.

Children

Sweep is a puzzle game suitable for a general audience, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them — we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, since we collect nothing at all.

Your rights and choices

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, export or erase on request. You remain in full control:

Delete the App to remove everything it stored on your device.
Turn off iCloud Drive for Sweep to stop streak and best-time syncing, and manage or delete that data from your iCloud account in iOS Settings.
Decline or sign out of Game Center to stop leaderboard submissions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will also be reflected in the App's App Store privacy information.
